Dianne Chipps Bailey presented at a breakfast seminar hosted by GreerWalker on "Fraud in Not-for-Profits." Her topic was “Modernization of Nonprofit Laws: National Trends and Opportunities in North Carolina.”

The 2.5-hour, by-invitation seminar for all types of not-for-profits examined fraud detection and deterrence, as well as particular fraud schemes that have occurred at not-for-profits. Organizations were advised how to improve internal controls and oversight, the key to reducing fraud. They also learned more about possible changes in law to enhance governance oversight and governmental enforcement to deter fraud in not-for-profits.
