Robinson Bradshaw was proud to sponsor the 2014 The Racing Attorney Conference (TRAC). TRAC, an annual motorsports legal conference planned and presented by the North Carolina Bar Association Sports and Entertainment Law Section and the Indianapolis Bar Association, combines education (including CLE credits), development and networking with legal and business leaders in the motorsports industry, including NASCAR and INDYCAR.

This year’s conference featured topics on prize money, SAG-AFTRA, sponsorship and activation, facilities management, immigration, intellectual property and insurance. Attendees engaged with motorsports industry leaders in discussing and learning about legal complexities and challenges that are inherently linked to the business of motorsports.

Several Robinson Bradshaw attorneys were involved in the 7th Annual TRAC. Stokely G. Caldwell, a TRAC co-founder and planning committee member,  moderated a panel entitled, "Defining Compensation." Matthew B. Efird, a TRAC planning committee member, spoke on a panel entitled, "Full Service Marketing." R. Steven DeGeorge served on a panel entitled, "Motorsports Insurance" and Lani Barnes contributed a paper on "Trademarks in Motorsports" for the panel entitled, "Who Owns What: Trademarks/Motorsports IP."
