Glen E. Caplan, an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, has been selected for the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” an award recognizing young professionals in the Triangle area for outstanding leadership, achievements and contributions to the community. Caplan was chosen from over 300 nominations.

Caplan advises clients through each stage of a company’s life cycle, including its initial corporate formation, venture capital financings, convertible debt financings, venture debt financings, initial and secondary public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate governance and securities laws compliance matters. His practice area serves a broad array of sectors such as software systems and applications, digital media, mobile applications, consumer electronics, video gaming, health care IT, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He joined Robinson Bradshaw as a partner in the firm’s Research Triangle office in 2011.

Caplan currently serves on the board of directors of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, an entrepreneurial support organization founded to stimulate the creation and growth of high-impact companies in the greater Research Triangle area of North Carolina. He is also a founding member of NC Spark, a peer mentoring organization consisting of founders and CEO entrepreneurs of North Carolina-based emerging growth companies.

Caplan earned his law degree from Duke University and his bachelor of science from Wake Forest University, where he graduated cum laude.
