Mark W. Merritt Assists in New Mecklenburg County Courthouse Dedication Ceremony

Mark W. Merritt, co-chair of the Courthouse Dedication Committee, attended the dedication of the Mecklenburg County's expansive new nine-story, $148 million courthouse on Friday, February 9 in Charlotte. Participants included Chief Justice Sarah Parker of the N.C. Supreme Court, Attorney General Roy Cooper and Charlotte lawyer Parks Helms, vice chair of the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners who led the effort to construct the new courthouse while serving as chair of the county board. NCBA members Doug Ey and Judge Nancy Norelli also served as co-chairs on the Courthouse Dedication Committee, which put forth a christening second to none.
