Robinson Bradshaw Elects Six New Shareholders
Robinson Bradshaw is pleased to announce the election of six new shareholders: Aneesha Sehgal Bruton, Scott A. DeAngelis, Katherine A. Grant, Kristin L. Hendrickson, Curtis C. Strubinger and Spencer T. Wiles. This significant accomplishment recognizes years of excellent work and dedicated service on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Aneesha Bruton focuses her practice on technology transactions, data privacy and security, and complex commercial contracts. She counsels clients on developing, integrating and licensing software, data, SaaS/PaaS solutions, AI and machine learning technologies, and intellectual property; data privacy and tech regulatory compliance; cybersecurity and IT policies and vendor management; IT and business process sourcing; and supply chain and logistics transactions. Bruton advises clients on the IP and data privacy aspects of strategic commercial transactions, investments, and mergers & acquisitions.
Bruton earned her law degree cum laude from Georgetown University and her bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
Scott DeAngelis represents clients in a variety of transactional matters, focusing on leveraged finance and other debt financing transactions. He regularly represents business development companies, small business investment companies, private funds, and other lenders and borrowers in connection with structuring, negotiating, documenting and administering senior or unitranche credit facilities, second lien and mezzanine debt investments, and equity investments.
DeAngelis holds a law degree and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Coe College.
Katherine Grant is a corporate attorney with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private investments and general corporate law. She represents private equity groups and companies in acquisitions, dispositions and other investment transactions. Grant also routinely advises companies on general corporate and commercial matters, and she has experience structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of contractual arrangements, including purchasing agreements, organizational and governance documents, and other related documentation.
Grant received her law degree, as well as her bachelor’s degree with distinction, from the University of Virginia.
Kristin Hendrickson represents clients in a broad range of transactional matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. She represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, dispositions and other investment transactions, and she represents public and private companies in connection with purchases and sales of entire businesses and carveout transactions in both auction and non-auction settings, in each case across a variety of industries.
Hendrickson received her law degree with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude with honors from the University of South Carolina Honors College.
Curtis Strubinger advises partnerships, corporations and individuals on the tax aspects of complex transactions. He focuses his practice on providing tax advice to private investment funds throughout their lifecycle, including fund formation, acquisitions and dispositions, financings, recapitalizations and management incentive equity. Strubinger has significant experience working with founders and investors on Section 1202 qualified small business stock, stock options and other issues affecting startups. In addition to his core tax practice, he assists entrepreneurs in forming joint ventures, and he maintains an active pro bono practice advising tax-exempt organizations.
Strubinger earned his law degree magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law. He received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accountancy summa cum laude from the University of Missouri.
Spencer Wiles is an experienced business litigator focusing on complex disputes across a wide array of settings. He represents clients in both litigation and arbitration, with a strong focus on resolving construction-related issues, including defect, delay and payment disputes. In his insurance coverage practice, Wiles exclusively advocates for policyholders, offering strategic counsel on coverage disputes and needs. He also maintains a diverse sports and entertainment practice, where he’s successfully handled disputes in the motorsports industry, other professional sport leagues and college athletics.
Wiles received his law degree magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University and his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College.
Bruton practices out of Robinson Bradshaw’s Research Triangle office. DeAngelis, Grant, Hendrickson, Strubinger and Wiles are based in the firm’s Charlotte office.
