Ted Hennessey Discusses Property Revaluation and Impact Fees with The Assembly
Robinson Bradshaw attorney Ted Hennessey was featured in a recent article by The Assembly regarding property revaluation and development-related funding matters in Harnett County, North Carolina.
In the article, Hennessey noted that under North Carolina law, counties and municipalities have only the authority granted to them by the state legislature, and that recent legislative changes have incrementally expanded local governments’ ability to impose certain development-related fees. He also explained that adjustments to property tax structures may influence how infrastructure costs are allocated between homeowners and developers.
Hennessey handles complex business disputes as a litigator, arbitrator and mediator. He is experienced in construction and real estate development matters, including advising on infrastructure, multifamily and mixed-use projects, as well as related regulatory and contractual issues.
