Overview
Caleb Strawn focuses his practice on real estate development and finance, concentrating on all aspects of the development, acquisition, leasing, disposition and financing of commercial real estate. He counsels clients on a variety of industrial, retail and health care projects, and he regularly advises institutional lenders with respect to construction, acquisition and other loans secured by real property.
In addition to his core real estate practice, Caleb maintains an active pro bono practice advising tax-exempt organizations.
Experience
- Represents a nonprofit hospital system in the acquisition and development of hospital, clinic and other health care facilities across North Carolina and South Carolina.
- Represents a regional bank in connection with acquisition and construction loans secured by real estate assets located throughout the Southeast.
- Represents a developer in the development and sale of build-to-suit retail projects across the country.
- Represents a developer in connection with build-to-suit industrial distribution centers located throughout the country.
- Represents a national health care corporation in the acquisition and leasing of clinical facilities across the country.
- Represented a private equity-backed holding company in its sale of a large industrial facility to a publicly traded real estate investment trust and its simultaneous purchase of a portfolio of eight industrial properties as a part of a 1031 exchange.
