  • Represents debtor as special counsel for asbestos claims estimation matters in In re Bestwall LLC, Case No. 17-31795 (Bankr. W.D.N.C.).

  • Successfully obtained several default judgments for clients in breach of contract cases.
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment in a lease dispute case.
  • Represented financial institutions and investment advisers in FINRA arbitration proceedings.

Appellate Litigation

  • Regularly represents appellants and appellees in appeals before the Fourth Circuit and North Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment defending a general contractor in a personal injury case and upheld the decision on appeal.
  • Represented a life insurance company in defense of negligence claims and successfully overturned a multimillion-dollar adverse jury verdict after trial.

Business Advice & Counseling

  • Advises a major health care system on statutory interpretation, compliance and strategy regarding mental health issues.
  • Advises clients on application of specialized statutory privileges.

Pro Bono
