A Bloomberg Law article extensively quoted Robinson Bradshaw attorney Mark Merritt about the antitrust implications for state bar associations as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in N.C. State Board of Dental Examiners vs. Federal Trade Commission. The article covered a panel session in which Merritt participated during the American Bar Association’s National Conference on Professional Responsibility. Merritt explained how the court’s ruling in that case provided a “road map” for state bar leaders to avoid legal snares over antitrust regulations, including tips like making sure bar associations act within their authority and put the interests of the public first.
