Dianne Chipps Bailey Honored with North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Women of Justice Award

Dianne Chipps Bailey, an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, one of the Carolinas’ leading corporate and commercial law firms, has been honored by North Carolina Lawyer’s Weekly with a 2012 Women of Justice Award.

Bailey will receive the legal publication’s Public Service Practitioner Award, and, as an award recipient, she is also a finalist for the periodical’s Woman of the Year honor, which will be announced at a Nov. 15 awards reception in Raleigh. Each award winner will be profiled in a special section of the newspaper’s Nov. 19 issue.

Bailey leads the Nonprofit Organizations and Foundations practice group at Robinson Bradshaw, where she provides counsel to nonprofit organizations in all aspects of their operations, including their structure, administration and management. She represents schools and universities, churches and other religious organizations, endowments, corporate and family foundations, museums, business leagues, social clubs, fraternal organizations, trade organizations and a wide array of charitable groups.

Bailey serves on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation, the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation and Discovery Place, Inc. She previously chaired the boards of the Women’s Impact Fund, the Presbyterian Hospital Foundation and the First Presbyterian Church Diaconate, where she also served as an Elder.

Bailey currently serves on the advisory boards of the Women’s Impact Fund, Community Trustees for Children, The Junior League of Charlotte and Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange. She has raised funds and other support for Girls on the Run of Charlotte and Carolina Breast Friend’s Pink House.
