- 4-5 p.m. - CLE discussion: Drawing on their experience managing national security and cyber matters at the highest levels of government and corporate America, our panelists will discuss how businesses can successfully navigate data breaches, combat malicious insiders and respond to other high-stakes threats. Panelists will share their insight into today’s threat landscape, including new and emerging risks, and will provide practical advice on preparing for and responding to a major incident. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to manage the complex legal, reputational and business risks that arise when a crisis strikes.
Featured speakers:- Robert R. Wells, retired as the Executive Assistant Director of the National Security Branch at the FBI. As one of the highest-ranking executives in the FBI, Bobby led a global workforce of national security and intelligence professionals. He previously served as the special agent in charge of the Charlotte Field Office, overseeing all FBI operations, investigations and personnel across North Carolina.
- Allen T. O’Rourke, Senior Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel for Cybersecurity at Truist. Allen has extensive experience in cybersecurity and cybercrime, both in private practice and as a former federal prosecutor who helped lead the Cyber Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
- William M. Miller, co-chair of Robinson Bradshaw’s Government & Internal Investigations Practice Group. William is a former federal prosecutor and served as Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff at the FBI, where he advised the former Director and other senior government leaders on major national security and criminal matters.
