Alternative investments attorney Jason S. Kerr has joined Robinson Bradshaw. Kerr will assist the firm's fund manager clients with their fund offerings and institutional investor clients with their investment activities. He also brings a wealth of complementary regulatory, compliance and other experience to the firm.
Prior to joining Robinson Bradshaw, Kerr was an attorney for Axiom in New York City, where he worked for a variety of investment management clients, including debt, real estate and mutual fund managers. He also previously served as chief legal officer and chief compliance officer for the global multi-manager real estate arm of The Carlyle Group's Solutions segment and as corporate counsel to Marsh & McLennan Companies. Kerr began his career as an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in New York.
Kerr’s experience includes fund structuring, launch and maintenance; negotiating the terms of private fund investments; securities law compliance; and other fund formation and management activities. He received his law degree from Columbia Law School and his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
