The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of Robinson Bradshaw client Verizon Communications Inc. in a case pertaining to the collection of 911 taxes. The justices unanimously agreed with the trial court that Pennsylvania counties do not have the authority to bring individual lawsuits to enforce the statewide statute pertaining to E911 taxes. The lawsuit will have a direct impact on the more than 15 individual cases pending against Verizon and other telecommunications providers in Pennsylvania.

The Robinson Bradshaw team representing Verizon included Greg Skidmore, Mark Hiller, Fitz Barringer and Travis Hinman.
