The MLB's Cleveland Indians recently announced its decision to stop featuring the "Chief Wahoo" logo on its uniforms next year. That announcement has spurned discussion about the future of another major league sports team, the NFL's Washington Redskins, which also uses a controversial Native American trademark name and logo. Robinson Bradshaw attorney Greg Skidmore weighed in on the conversation in a recent Law360 article.

"To date, the Redskins have not seemed overly concerned about negative feedback, and whether that comes from their ownership or something else, they have seemed to want to protect their team name despite any potential negative feedback they may get," Skidmore said.
