Overview
Gregg Hill is a litigator with experience in employment disputes, breach of contract actions, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge and general business litigation matters. He also represents a diverse range of clients in the sports and entertainment industry, including professional sports teams and leagues. In addition, Gregg has handled matters involving workplace safety and protective relief, including obtaining civil no-contact orders and injunctions under the Workplace Violence Prevention Act on behalf of institutional clients.
Gregg maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals in landlord–tenant disputes and unfair and deceptive trade practices matters. He has a strong interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence and the law, with a focus on emerging legal and ethical issues related to privacy, intellectual property, liability and regulatory frameworks.
Experience
- Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of a national bank in a breach of contract and unjust enrichment matter.
- Served as pro bono plaintiff’s counsel, securing favorable settlements in breach of contract, landlord–tenant, and unfair and deceptive trade practices disputes.
- Counsels companies on domestic and international employment policies and practices, including drafting and updating employee handbooks and advising on policies for overseas assignments.
- Represented a health care organization and university in obtaining civil no-contact orders and injunctions under the Workplace Violence Prevention Act.
- Represented a health care organization in district court during involuntary commitment hearings.
- Represented a professional sports team and the seller of a professional motorsports racing series in breach of contract, trademark infringement and acquisition-related disputes.
