Uzorma Owete represents clients in commercial litigation matters at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts. His experience includes disputes with healthcare practices, noncompete agreements, labor and employment, class actions, administrative law and environmental law.

Uzo’s background in computer science helps him counsel clients who have experienced technically complicated data breaches, including phishing incidents, ransomware attacks and vendor-related incidents. He has helped clients through the investigation and notification phases of data breaches, including by determining the applicability of cyber insurance to help save costs, assessing client’s obligations under state and federal privacy laws and regulations, and advising them on the implications of using tracking technology and AI tools.
