Overview
Will Fussy focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. He has experience representing clients across several sectors, including industrial, health care and retail. Will's experience includes representing landlords and tenants in negotiating complex lease agreements and guiding developers and owners of commercial real estate through property acquisitions and dispositions. He works closely with clients to provide practical, business-minded solutions that help achieve their objectives efficiently and effectively.
Prior to joining Robinson Bradshaw, Will was an attorney with Johnston Allison Hord in Charlotte.
Experience
- Counsels landlords and tenants in drafting, negotiating and revising leases for shopping centers, mixed-use projects and office space, including build-out, operating and renewal provisions.
- Assists developers with shopping center construction, including subdivision planning and drafting declarations, covenants, conditions and restrictions.
- Manages real estate acquisitions and dispositions from letter of intent through closing, including coordination of due diligence, contracts and title matters.
- Represented a major franchisee of a national instant oil change operator in ground-up site development across the country, handled ground lease drafting and negotiation, coordinated title and survey diligence, and supported lease execution.
- Served as outside counsel to a national automotive service brand, assisted in-house counsel with the preparation and review of real estate purchase and sale agreements and ground leases, and conducted title and survey review for site acquisitions and development.
- Represented home builder developers in the acquisition of land, including conducting due diligence, negotiating purchase agreements, and coordinating title and closing matters.
