Greg Skidmore presented "Strategies for Litigation Management and Prevention" at the North Carolina Bar Association's Corporate Counsel Section Lunch and Learn.

In a world of continually escalating legal costs, it has never been more important to ensure that limited budgets are spent in a way that maximizes opportunities for a successful outcome. In litigation, internal and external counsel must work together from the start of a case – and often before there is even a case – to map out and execute a plan of action for litigation matters. Greg's presentation explored strategies for effectively, and economically, handling litigation matters, including how internal counsel and the lawyers they hire can work together to best manage cases that are unpredictable, and often unwanted.

Following Skidmore's session, Barbara Heim spoke about litigation prevention and managing relationships with outside counsel. Lunch was provided, and attendees earned 1.5 hours of CLE or CPE credit.
