Racial Gap in Nonprofit Leadership

Rob Harrington participated in a panel conversation among nonprofit board members and executives about the racial gap in leadership of Charlotte nonprofit organizations as executive directors, senior staff and board officers. The discussion was intended as an actionable conversation among the panelists who have prioritized this as a leadership strategy for their organizations. Harrington is chair of the Arts & Science Council board of directors and vice chair of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library board of trustees.

The panel discussion was followed by Q&As and the generation of a specific list of actions to be taken that can improve recruiting practices and results.
