Directors and officers insurance (D&O) provides coverage for the directors and officers in an entity, as well as the entity that owes them indemnification. Errors and omissions insurance (E&O) is professional liability insurance covering the risk exposures of certain categories of professional activity. In his presentation at the North Carolina Bar Association's Insurance Law Section CLE and Annual Meeting, Steve DeGeorge and his co-presenter helped attendees understand the purpose of and need for both coverages, as well as the unique policy provisions that can make or break coverage.
