Hot Topics in Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation

Matt Sawchak participated in the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys' roundtable discussion of hot topics for medical malpractice defense lawyers at the 2022 Fall Seminar for Insurance Claims Representatives & Defense Counsel. The discussion included the North Carolina Supreme Court’s recent Connette v. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority decision, civil litigation implications of the criminal prosecutions of nurses, and how designating a presiding judge in each medical malpractice case is impacting counsel and the courts.
