The Lifecycle of a Contract

Corporate attorney Elizabeth Tedford and litigator Jonathan Krisko of Robinson Bradshaw joined forces with WakeMed’s Interim Chief Legal Officer Brian Lynde to review the lifecycle of a commercial contract, from drafting and negotiation considerations, through performance and potential later disputes. They highlighted key contractual provisions that can protect you should a future dispute occur; identified the kinds of deal terms that are frequently ambiguous and give rise to disputes; and discussed how different dispute resolution mechanisms, which often are not the focus of contract negotiations, could impact the ultimate outcome of a commercial dispute.
