Robinson Bradshaw attorneys, Dianne Chipps Bailey and J. Thomas Clarkson, presented Lobbying by Fraternal Foundations – Advance Your Charitable Mission and Protect Your Tax-Exempt Status via Webinar on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 12:00 EST.

During this session, Dianne and Tommy provided a roadmap for fraternal foundations to engage in lobbying activities permitted under the Internal Revenue Code. They addressed topics including how to communicate with officials using strategies not considered lobbying, whether your foundation should make the 501(h) election, how to structure communication with fraternity and sorority members to avoid violating the federal tax rules, how to address the concerns of your board members, and why lobbying may be in the best interests of your fraternal foundation.
