Dianne Chipps Bailey presented "Philanthropy Law 101: State and Federal Compliance for Grantmakers" at the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers Annual Conference. This event was held on Wednesday, February 26 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro.

Grantmakers interested in learning to navigate the world of legal compliance for grantmaking were invited to join faithful followers of NCNG Newsletter Legal Tidbits contributor and attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, Dianne Chips Bailey, for this interactive session. The session covered a range of legal responsibilities for private foundation and public charity grantmakers and recent legislative activity impacting philanthropy. Topics that were addressed included board governance, federal tax rules, advocacy, grant agreements, foreign grantmaking, expenditure responsibility, and executive and board compensation issues. Whether you are new to grantmaking or have many years of experience in philanthropy, this session offered the latest in state and federal legal compliance in grantmaking.
