On Nov. 6, the North Carolina Supreme Court affirmed a ruling in Robinson Bradshaw’s favor in a case involving the authority of a zoning administrator. The Supreme Court affirmed the decisions of the Warren County Superior Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals that a zoning administrator does not have the authority to refuse to transmit an appeal to the board of adjustment for a hearing based upon the zoning administrator’s opinion that the appealing party lacks standing. Robinson Bradshaw attorney John Carmichael successfully represented the petitioner in the case.
