Robinson Bradshaw Managing Partner Allen Robertson spoke with Law360 about the recently announced Charlotte Legal Initiative to Mobilize Businesses. The program provides pro bono business law services to low-income entrepreneurs and small businesses in the Charlotte area, with a focus on those whose ownership consists primarily of people of color, women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans or people with disabilities. CLIMB is an effort by the newly formed Carolinas Social Impact Initiative and is spearheaded by member firms Robinson Bradshaw and Moore & Van Allen. More information is available here.

Robertson shared that the program is assisting eight clients so far in its pilot phase. “The pilot program's goal is to really test all the research we did in a controlled environment before blowing things too far open,” he said. “We work with groups whose mission is to work with entrepreneurs who might be underserved.”
