Amanda Pickens Nitto Honored Among Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40

Amanda Pickens Nitto, litigator at Robinson Bradshaw, was named to the Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2025. Nitto joins a class of honorees chosen for their distinguished service and accomplishments and recognized as the region’s next generation of business leaders.
A respected litigator, trusted adviser and community advocate, Nitto is recognized for her remarkable achievements both in the courtroom and in civic leadership. At Robinson Bradshaw, Nitto counsels clients across the country in defending class actions on closely watched issues including name, image and likeness rights of collegiate student-athletes; college admissions standards; health care benefits for union workers; and wage issues for national retailers. She advises clients involved in bet-the-company litigation, antitrust issues, multidistrict litigation, complicated business disputes, shareholder and partnership governance issues, and derivative actions. Amanda also maintains an active pro bono practice, co-chairs Robinson Bradshaw’s Recruiting Committee, and serves as a mentor for younger lawyers at the firm.

Outside the firm, Nitto is deeply engaged in early childhood education advocacy as board chair of Smart Start of Mecklenburg County and past chair of the MECK Pre-K Committee. She has held leadership roles with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, Women’s Executives, Women’s Impact Fund, Charlotte Bilingual Preschool and numerous legal organizations, including the Mecklenburg Bar Association and Women Lawyers of Charlotte.

Vincent, who serves as Nitto’s mentor and as a member of the firm’s board of directors. “Her talent, leadership and commitment to the community are matched only by her energy and integrity. She is an undeniable asset to Charlotte and a role model for young professionals across the region.”
Nitto earned her law degree magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina and her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Roanoke College.
