Stephen M. Cox and David C. Kimball have been selected for inclusion in the South Carolina Super Lawyers listings for 2014.

Super Lawyers is a rating service that recognizes the achievements of attorneys in more than 70 practice areas through independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Cox was named a 2014 South Carolina Super Lawyer in business litigation. Cox helps businesses avoid and mitigate risk through counseling and representation in complex litigation and arbitration matters. He has represented clients in bench and jury trials and in appeals to state and federal appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He regularly serves as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial disputes and has helped clients successfully resolve dozens of matters through alternative dispute resolution.

His experience includes the representation of clients in class actions, derivative litigation, corporate governance disputes, and arbitration proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority; employment disputes, including employment discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, and non-compete litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies; and construction defect and products liability litigation.

Cox received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. He received his Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Harvard College, where he was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa.

Kimball was named a 2014 South Carolina Rising Star in business litigation. He practices commercial litigation and has a broad range of experience that encompasses a variety of commercial and business-related disputes. He regularly assists clients in cases involving commercial construction litigation, products-liability claims, commercial lease disputes, insurance coverage issues and creditor’s rights. He routinely represents clients in federal and state courts and has experience resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including arbitration and mediation.

Kimball received his law degree magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, where he was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Wig and Robe and the Order of Barristers, and served as an articles editor for the South Carolina Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Furman University.

Earlier this year, 64 Robinson Bradshaw attorneys were selected among the 2014 North Carolina Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. In addition, five Robinson Bradshaw shareholders were named to the Top 100 listing of North Carolina Super Lawyers.
