Dianne Chipps Bailey Honored for Business Achievements

Dianne Chipps Bailey, an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., has been named one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2011 Women in Business Achievement Award winners.

Bailey leads the firm’s Nonprofit Organizations practice group. Her practice provides counsel to all aspects of nonprofit organizations, including their structure, administration and management. She represents schools and universities, churches and other religious organizations, endowments, corporate and family foundations, museums, business leagues, social clubs, fraternal organizations, trade organizations, and a wide array of charitable groups.

An awards luncheon will honor Bailey and the additional 24 members the 2011 Women in Business Achievement class at noon Thursday, June 16, at the Charlotte Convention Center, 501 S. College St., Charlotte, N.C. A women’s wellness expo will precede the event from 10 a.m. to noon.

Bailey is a member of several boards of trustees and directors, including: Women’s Impact Fund; Presbyterian Hospital Foundation; Mecklenburg Bar Foundation; Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation; Women Executives; and the Fraternity & Sorority Political Action Committee. She previously served as an elder of First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte.

Bailey is also active with the Community Trustees for Children; The Junior League of Charlotte, the Women’s Summit, the Women's Inter-Cultural Exchange and the Circle of Sisterhood. She has raised funds and other support for Girls on the Run of Charlotte and Carolina Breast Friend's Pink House.

Bailey was previously selected for the Charlotte Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40,’ an annual award that recognizes young professionals in the Charlotte area for exceptional leadership and contributions to the community. She was named a Rising Star in the nonprofit sector by North Carolina Super Lawyers for 2009-10.
