Transactional Lawyers Join Robinson Bradshaw

Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson is pleased to announce that Nichelle Nicholes Levy and Brandon M. Lofton have joined the firm as associates in the corporate department.

Ms. Levy’s practice includes sports and entertainment law. Prior to joining the firm, she served as director of business affairs for Time Warner Global Marketing, 2003-06. From 2001-03, Ms. Levy was associated with the law firm of Loeb & Loeb LLP in New York. She has also previously served as manager of strategic marketing for EMI-Capitol Music Group and manager of business planning for Philip Morris, U.S.A.

Ms. Levy received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Chicago and received her J.D. from New York University School of Law where she was articles editor for the Law Review and a Walter J. Derenberg Prize recipient for the student who achieves the highest academic grade in the area of copyright law. 

Mr. Lofton's practice includes corporate and commercial law. He was previously associated with Ferguson, Stein, Chambers, Gresham and Sumter, P.A. in Charlotte. He received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received Highest Honors in Political Science. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was a Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar and a Dean’s Scholar. While in law school, Mr. Lofton also worked to increase faculty diversity through the Coalition for Legal Recruiting and served as regional representative for NYU’s Black Allied Law Students Association. He is the author of Fifty Years after Brown, the Civil Rights Ideology and Today’s Movement, 29 N.Y.U. Rev. L. & Soc. Change 719 (2005).

Mr. Lofton serves on the Diversity Committee for the Mecklenburg County Bar Association and is also a member of the John S. Leary Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the North Carolina Bar Association.
