A peer review survey from Best Lawyers® has named two attorneys from Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, one of the state’s leading corporate and commercial law firms, 2010 Lawyers of the Year in their respective practice areas. Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson was one of three Charlotte firms with multiple winners for 2010.

Peter C. Buck, who practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, banking and finance and energy law, was named the Charlotte Best Lawyers Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyer of the Year for 2010.

Christy Eve Reid, who practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration and taxation, was named the Charlotte Best Lawyers Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year for 2010.

Best Lawyers, a peer-review publication for legal professionals, awards Lawyer of the Year designations for high-profile practice areas in large legal communities. Only one lawyer receives the award in a practice area in each community; the group recognized 13 attorneys in varying practices areas in Charlotte. Best Lawyers compiles an annual listing of outstanding lawyers through confidential peer-review surveys from more than 2.8 million legal professionals.

“We continue to believe – as we have believed for more than 25 years – that recognition by one’s peers is the most meaningful form of praise in the legal profession,” said Steven Naifeh, Managing Editor of Best Lawyers. “We would like to congratulate Peter C. Buck and Christy Eve Reid on being selected as the ‘Charlotte Best Lawyers Mergers & Acquisitions and Trusts and Estates Lawyers of the Year,’ respectively, for 2010.”
