Dianne Chipps Bailey was a guest speaker on WFAE's Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins. The program, titled "Women and Philanthropy," aired on Oct. 12, 2015.

Preconceived notions about the roles of men and women have been changing rapidly, except when it comes to philanthropy. People still believe that women don’t participate actively in philanthropy because those decisions are made by men - but that is no longer true. In fact, around 60 percent of all charitable giving is done by women. This program features three women working to change perceptions and to empower women to take an even greater role.

Additional guests include: Colleen Willoughby, founder of the Washington Women’s Foundation and Global Women - Partners in Philanthropy; and Virginia Mills, national president of the Women’s Collective Giving Grantmakers Network.
