Overview

Bennett Wright counsels companies and individuals in all phases of civil litigation. His recent experience includes mass torts and product liability, unfair and deceptive trade practices, breaches of contract, construction-related disputes and other general business litigation matters.

Clients appreciate Bennett’s technical acumen and problem-solving abilities, gleaned from his background in engineering. Beyond civil litigation matters, Bennett also advises businesses in internal investigations and in pre-litigation disputes, assessing risks and resolving disagreements before any lawsuit arises.

Experience

  • Represents sellers of an industrial lubricant company in a suit involving complex contract claims, fraud claims and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

  • Represents debtor as special counsel for asbestos claims estimation matters in In re Bestwall LLC, Case No. 17-31795 (Bankr. W.D.N.C.).

  • Represents debtor as special counsel for asbestos claims estimation matters in In re DBMP LLC, Case No. 20-30080 (Bankr. W.D.N.C.).

  • Advised a developer of a high-end multifamily and townhome project in arbitration of complex claims regarding delayed delivery and completion of the project by a contractor.

  • Counseled a manufacturing company in an internal investigation regarding the potential misrepresentation of product specifications.
