Overview

Lauren Talboom focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She has experience representing developers and owners of commercial real estate in the development, acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real estate projects, with particular emphasis on retail and hospitality properties. Lauren also has broad experience representing institutional lenders in a variety of single property and portfolio loan originations and modifications, as well as representing landlords and tenants in commercial, retail and office leasing transactions.

Lauren recognizes the value in understanding her clients' business objectives and draws upon her knowledge of the laws and customs of the real estate industry to provide guidance and counsel.

Before joining Robinson Bradshaw, Lauren was an attorney with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.

Experience

  • Represents a developer in the acquisition, development and sale of various build-to-suit retail stores and restaurants across the country.

  • Represents a developer in the negotiation of real estate purchase documents and loan documents.

  • Represents a hotel developer in the acquisition and disposition of hotel sites across the Southeast, West and Midwest.  

  • Represents a bank lender in the negotiation of commercial real estate loans across the Southeast.

  • Represents a national real estate investor in lease negotiations of various retail and office properties in North Carolina.

  • Represented Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, on a pro bono basis, in the leasing of its Latrobe Street building.
