Health care delivery in North Carolina is in the midst of a significant transformation that continues to affect the strategic concerns and day-to-day operations of providers, payers and other stakeholders in the health care industry. Megan Haynes, Jennifer Hutchens, Kelly Koeninger and Blaine Sanders covered this topic at the 2019 i2i Center for Integrative Health's Transformation Today and Tomorrow conference. In their session, they provided an update on legal developments in 2019 affecting industry stakeholders and offered practical advice on how to prepare for and adapt to these changes. In particular, the panel covered the status of North Carolina's Medicaid transformation and implementation process. In conjunction, the panel provided a primer on the fundamentals of contracting and a deep dive into value based contracting, including key terms and best practices.
