Robinson Bradshaw attorney Benjamin W. Baldwin was named the 2016 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes a member of the Business Law Section who exemplifies extraordinary service to the section, the legal profession or the public. The winner embodies the professional ideals of competence, service, integrity, independence and community. Baldwin was recognized for his contribution of a regular column in the section’s newsletter for many years, his leadership on a major project comparing corporate law in North Carolina and Delaware, and his longtime service on multiple section committees.

Baldwin’s practice with Robinson Bradshaw covers a broad range of corporate finance and commercial transactions with an emphasis on lending and mergers and acquisitions. He earned his law degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Order of the Coif. He also received his undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill as a Phi Beta Kappa.
