Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. announced today that John H. Carmichael has joined the firm as a partner. Carmichael is an experienced land use and zoning lawyer. His areas of practice also include commercial real estate and land use litigation.

Carmichael regularly represents landowners and developers in the rezoning of properties for office, retail and residential uses. He also has substantial experience in obtaining variances from parking, setback, buffer and other zoning ordinance requirements. Additionally, Carmichael represents landowners and developers in connection with voluntary and involuntary annexation issues.

An honors graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, with an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, Carmichael has more than 17 years of experience representing clients in transactions and litigation involving land use and zoning issues. Before joining Robinson Bradshaw, he was a partner in the Charlotte office of K&L Gates. Carmichael is a LEED Accredited Professional through the Green Building Certification Institute.
