Overview
Our firm has a comprehensive real estate practice serving clients in commercial transactions across the Carolinas and throughout the country. The quality of our real estate practice has been recognized by various publications, including a Band 1 ranking in North Carolina by Chambers USA and a Tier 1 ranking in Charlotte in the "Best Law Firms" report. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and on understanding the needs of our clients, whether that client is a developer with a nationwide scope, an institutional lender or an individual who inherited a valuable real estate asset.
We provide legal and practical advice to our clients at every stage of virtually all types of commercial real estate transactions, including retail shopping centers and power centers, industrial facilities, master-planned residential communities, multifamily, office buildings, mixed-use developments and condominiums, hospitality, and real estate funds and capital-raising activities. The breadth and depth of our practice allows us to efficiently help our clients navigate risk and creatively structure their real estate transactions. When needs arise in other legal areas (as they often do), our unique firm structure gives clients seamless and cost-effective access to an interdisciplinary team of attorneys necessary to advise clients in complex transactions.
Our real estate attorneys also regularly act as local counsel in North Carolina and South Carolina, and in such capacity, we work to efficiently give insight on local law and custom and to deliver legal opinions.
