Allen K. Robertson, an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., one of the state’s leading corporate and commercial law firms, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) for a three-year term ending in 2013.

Robertson is one of 12 attorneys currently serving on the NABL Board of Directors. From 2004-09, he served on the Steering Committee for the NABL Bond Attorneys’ Workshop, which is the oldest and largest municipal bond law seminar. During 2008-09, while serving as Chair of the 34th Bond Attorneys’ Workshop, Robertson also served on the NABL Board of Directors.

Robertson, whose practice areas at Robinson Bradshaw include public finance, banking, bankruptcy and health care, was also recently named Charlotte Public Finance Lawyer of the Year for 2011 by Best Lawyers®, a highly respected annual national peer review study.
Robertson was a Morehead Scholar at UNC and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude.

NABL, which represents approximately 3,000 of the nation’s leading public finance attorneys, was founded in 1979 to promote the integrity of the municipal market by advancing the understanding of and compliance with the law affecting public finance.
