Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. successfully argued that the North Carolina General Assembly’s appointments to environmental commissions violated separation of powers provisions in the North Carolina Constitution. A three-judge panel unanimously ruled in favor of Governor Pat McCrory and former governors Jim Hunt and Jim Martin, who brought the lawsuit. Attorneys John R. Wester, David C. Wright III and Andrew A. Kasper represented the governors in this landmark case.
