Overview

Charles Bowyer is a transactional lawyer with a practice focused primarily on public finance, corporate finance, project finance, and general corporate and commercial matters. He represents both small and large companies in financings in the United States and abroad. Charles has also represented lenders in a variety of loan transactions and project financings.

In addition to his transactional practice, Charles has experience negotiating and drafting a variety of contractual arrangements including organizational and governance documents, purchase and sale agreements, commercial contracts and related documentation.

Experience

  • Served as bond counsel for the North Carolina Medical Care Commission, Public Finance Authority and the National Finance Authority in various tax-exempt financings.

  • Served as underwriting and corporate counsel in both tax-exempt and taxable financings for hospitals, charter schools, continuing care retirement communities and counties.

  • Represents clients in lending transactions of all sizes, including up to $1.9 billion.

  • Represented clients in various credit transactions, including bank transactions, public market issuances, venture credit, project financing, commodity financing and cross-border transactions.
