Robinson Bradshaw hosted Interlaw’s annual Americas Regional Meeting in Charlotte May 5-8. The three-day conference brought over 70 guests from 21 countries to Charlotte for presentations on topics like cybersecurity at law firms, the economic status of the Americas, and health care in a post-Obamacare world.

Interlaw is an elite global law firm network comprised of top independent firms from around the globe with more than 7,000 lawyers in 125 cities worldwide. Robinson Bradshaw is the only Interlaw member firm in North and South Carolina, and Tom Gates is the firm's Interlaw delegate. Attorneys Dianne Chipps Bailey, Ashley Carter Durbin, Susan Huber, Jon Jordan, Jon Krisko, Brandon Lofton, Kate Maynard, Allen Robertson, David Schilli, David Shuford and Richard Worf all led, planned or moderated sessions at the conference.

The conference included a session on Charlotte’s endurance during the Great Recession, featuring Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts, Charlotte Chamber President Bob Morgan, Mecklenburg County Commission Chair Trevor Fuller and County Manager Dena Diorio. Business North Carolina Editor David Mildenberg attended the session and wrote about it in his blog post “International lawyers give Charlotte a spin.”
