Firm Has Most Charlotte Attorneys Named to List for Fourth Consecutive Year

Best Lawyers®, a highly respected annual national peer review study, has named 12 Robinson Bradshaw attorneys “2015 Charlotte Lawyers of the Year” for work in their respective practice areas. For the fourth consecutive year, Robinson Bradshaw had more Charlotte attorneys named to the annual ranking than any other Charlotte firm.

Best Lawyers is a peer-review publication for legal professionals and recognizes leaders with “Lawyer of the Year” designations for high-profile practice areas in communities across the United States. Only one lawyer in each identified practice area is named Lawyer of the Year in each community.

The Robinson Bradshaw attorneys are:

Everett J. Bowman, who focuses his practice in antitrust and complex commercial litigation, was named 2015 Charlotte Litigation – Antitrust Lawyer of the Year. Bowman was also named the Litigation – Antitrust Lawyer of the Year in 2012 and the Charlotte Antitrust Lawyer of the Year in both 2013 and 2011.

Patrick S. Bryant, who practices in areas including securities, mergers and acquisitions, government and internal investigations and general corporate law, was named 2015 Charlotte Securities / Capital Markets Law Lawyer of the Year. He was previously named Charlotte Corporate Compliance Law Lawyer of the Year in 2013.

Peter C. Buck, who practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, banking and finance, and energy law, was named 2015 Charlotte Banking and Finance Law Lawyer of the Year. Best Lawyers previously named Buck Charlotte International Trade and Finance Law Lawyer of the Year in 2014, Charlotte Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law Lawyer of the Year in 2013, Charlotte Banking and Finance Law Lawyer of the Year in 2012, Charlotte Corporate Governance and Compliance Lawyer of the Year in 2011 and Charlotte Mergers and Acquisitions Lawyer of the Year in 2010.

John H. Carmichael, whose areas of practice include land use and zoning, commercial real estate and land use litigation, was named 2015 Charlotte Litigation – Land Use and Zoning Lawyer of the Year. He was also named Charlotte Land Use and Zoning Law Lawyer of the Year in 2012.

Karen A. Gledhill, who has a broad-based corporate practice with particular emphasis on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and other business strategic alliances, was named 2015 Charlotte Health Care Law Lawyer of the Year. She was also named the Charlotte Health Care Law Lawyer of the Year in 2012.

Julie Zydron Griggs, whose practice involves estate planning issues, complex estate administration, establishment of trusts, and probate issues and related tax matters, was named 2015 Charlotte Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year.

Edward F. Hennessey IV, whose litigation practice includes the representation of claimants and defendants in construction, corporate and other business-related litigation, was named the 2015 Charlotte Construction Law Lawyer of the Year.

Charles E. Johnson, whose litigation practice includes a variety of labor and employment and commercial cases in federal and state courts, was named 2015 Charlotte Employment Law – Management Lawyer of the Year.

Haynes P. Lea, who practices primarily in the areas of investment management, fund formations, and private equity and venture capital transactions, was named 2015 Charlotte Financial Services Regulation Law Lawyer of the Year. Lea was previously named Charlotte Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law Lawyer of the Year in 2014 and Charlotte Venture Capital Law Lawyer of the Year in 2012.

Stephen M. Lynch, whose practice covers a wide range of corporate transactions, with a principal focus on securities transactions and compliance and on mergers and acquisitions, was named 2015 Charlotte Corporate Governance Law Lawyer of the Year. He was previously named Charlotte Securities Regulation Lawyer of the Year in 2012.

Mark W. Merritt, whose practice covers a broad range of business-related litigation, including antitrust litigation and counseling, complex and class action litigation, and securities litigation, was named 2015 Charlotte Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law Lawyer of the Year.
